
WHAT IS SPORTS THERAPY & REHABILITATION?
Sports Therapy is a practice concerned with the prevention, rehabilitation and treatment of our patients back to optimum occupational, day-to-day or sports specific fitness. We use a wide range of modalities and techniques to help you recover from injury.
We focus on the muscular skeletal and neuromuscular system... that is to say we look at the soft tissue, muscles, bones, connective tissues, joints and nerve roots within the body.
You do not have to be involved in regular exercise to see a sports therapist. However, it is important to know whilst we pride ourselves on a combined approach- incorporating manual techniques (such as massage and mobilisations), your treatment will likely involve some aspect of exercise based rehabilitation, to help you maintain your health long term.
